Acoustic Trance Song

Here's another ridiculously awesome song I found on Youtube. It is by Ewan Dobson and called "Time 2." If you like it check out some of his other songs on Youtube.

My Kick Ass Pretzel Recipe

Today there wasn't any food in my house and I was really hungry so I decided to stop being lazy and make some pretzels. I'm not much of a cook but these are really easy to make and I figured I'd share the recipe with everybody on my blog. So here it is.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups warm water

4 teaspoons active dry yeast

3 1/2 - 4 1/2 cups of white flour

1/2 cup of sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

a little bit of vegetable oil

Toppings:

butter

salt or cinnamon sugar

Makes 8-12 pretzels

1. Dissolve yeast into the warm water. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
2. Put about 3 cups of flour into a mixing bowl with the sugar and salt.
3. Slowly pour in the yeast solution into the bowl so that it is absorbed. Add more flour as needed. Mix until a ball of dough is formed.
4. Coat the ball of dough with a little bit of vegetable oil then place the dough in a Ziploc back or a bowl. Let it rise for about 50 minutes.
5. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (232 degrees Celsius)
6. Divide the dough into 8 - 12 pieces and form into a pretzel shape(it can be any shape you want but you don't want them too thin). Place them on an oiled cooking sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
7. Let them cool off a little bit, spread some melted butter on them, add salt/cinnamon sugar and enjoy.

Give this recipe a try and let me know how your pretzels came out.

One of the Greatest Games Ever Made

For the past week I have been replaying The Orange Box. This was the first game I got for the Xbox 360 and I haven't played it since Christmas 2007. Last night I beat Half-Life 2 and the entire time I was playing I kept thinking about how great this game is. The story was done well and kept me intrigued. The pacing felt like I was in an action movie that never slowed down or got boring. My heart was racing the entire time I played. The characters each had a unique personality and felt like real people rather than cookie-cutter cliches(excuse the alliteration).

The Abridged Version

In summary, I think this is one of the best, if not the best, video game ever made. Even though this has been out for years, I think it's a better game than nearly all the console games released within recent times. If you've never played this game then do yourself a favor and go rent it. And if you have played it, play it again so you can remember how much fun it is.

What are your thoughts?

With all that's been happening in Japan, I'm curious to know how everyone feels about nuclear power. Do you think it's a good idea? A bad Idea? Why?

Are you against nuclear power plants?

An Outlandish and Stupid Video

Here's a ridiculous video I found of a guy covering Children of Bodom's Lake Bodom. I thought it was funny. The original song is one of my favorite songs and Children of Bodom are one of my favorite bands(at least their first three albums).

Another cool 8 bit song and artist

You might want to turn down your volume for this one.

Here is another 8 bit song I found on youtube. This one is called Horizon by Xinon.
